Merry Christmas!

Here's an updated picture of how fast Baby Boy Rice is growing! We think he's dropped down a little and we're not sure if he's gonna hold out until 1/20. We had a great Christmas and can't wait til next year when we get to spend it with the baby. Merry Christmas to everyone!

Happy Turkey Day

We just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving today! We are so thankful for all your love and support. We also feel extremely thankful to be blessed with our baby this year! He has been kicking and moving around a lot lately. 8 more weeks to go until we get to meet him!

We made a lot of progress on the nursery this weekend!

We have one more piece of furniture - the changing table/dresser that needs to go in the room and we need to take the tags off of everything. We also need to hang the curtains, but it definitely feels more real now! In just a few months our baby is gonna be sleeping here!

Well, the trim is up and the painting is done! All that's left are touch ups and painting the crown molding. Here's the latest...

OK, so I haven't posted any new pics yet this week, but Grandpa Joe has been busy putting the final touches on the room. It is coming together so well! We hope to put the crib and glider in there this weekend. I will post some new pics by Friday this week.

This is spot where the baby's name will go above the crib...once we figure out what that is!

This red fish/blue fish mural will go go to the right of the crib.

This is the wall where the crib will be centered. My Dad just has a few more finishing touches to add like painting the background color and putting up the crown molding.

Today Grandpa Joe finished up the lettering on "Oh the places you'll go"

He also painted the Cat in the Hat! He looks like he jumped straight off the pages of the book!

Today was another eventful day in the nursery. Here are some pictures of our progress...

The room is looking so cute! I can't wait for Josh to get home from Arizona to see it.

Today Grandpa Joe started painting the Dr. Seuss murals in the nursery. He started with Horton and he turned out adorable! He used a projector and outlined the image. We are so lucky that he is able to do this for our baby
