Papa Jerry an Grandma Lisa's Visit

Papa Jerry and Grandma Lisa (and Cricket!) came for a visit last weekend.  We had a great time & got a lot done around the house.  Grandma Lisa read the boys lots of stories and watched Monsters University with them.  Papa Jerry spent time doing projects with their help.  It was a great weekend that went too fast!

Me & Tyler at the neighbor's housewarming party.

The boys helping with raking.

Joshua loved tossing the leaves!
Tyler's first time driving :)
Another funny Joshua story...I was asking him what type of sandwiches he eats at daycare in an effort to get ideas on what groceries to buy.  He answers, "Mom, I don't like to eat sandwiches for lunch...but I DO like ice cream sandwiches!"  Not quite the answer that I expected, but he always keeps us on our toes :).

Trying to get back to blogging...

There are no guarantees, but I am going to try to get back to blogging about the boys.  We have so much fun and they are blossoming into such cool little guys, that I want to try to document  some of our moments.

Joey, Ericka and the boys were in town earlier this month, so we took the boys to get pictures.

I have a funny Joshua story that happened at dinner time last night.  Joshua ate everything on his plate and wanted dessert.  So I made him wait a few minutes to see if Tyler would eat some more (he has a bad cold and was mostly playing with his food).  Finally, I told Tyler that he has to taste his broccoli if he wanted to dessert.  He refused, so Joshua got his dessert (Strawberry Applesauce).  Tyler proceeded to cry for 20 minutes straight at the table about how he didn't want broccoli, but wanted dessert.  About 10 minutes into the crying Joshua and I went in the living room and turned on the TV.  Tyler refused to get off the chair because he wanted dessert.  At one point,  Joshua ran upstairs to go to the bathroom and I went over to try to get Tyler to calm down.  Joshua called me to wipe, but when I went up there the bathroom door was closed (which is odd).  I opened it and asked him if everything was ok and he said..."Yeah, I just didn't feel like hearing Tyler cry while I was going to the bathroom, so I shut the door."  He is my little old man!

March Pics

The boys hanging in Joshua's "house". He loves hanging out in between the couch cushions...especially when he's watching a show. Ty's not allowed in that often, but managed to sneak in this time with my help.
Here they are in their festive gear for St. Patty's Day. It was beautiful and in the high 70's!
Another beautiful March day. We went to the zoo. It was so fun to see Joshua's reaction to all of the animals now that he "gets" it. His favorite phrase that day was "WOOOOOOOW". It was so cute and even other people seemed to enjoy his enthusiasm :). Ty seemed to like to hang in the stroller and take it all in. Next year I am sure he'll be running around with Joshua!
Here's our big guy. He has mastered crawling and is even starting to get up on his knees like he wants to walk! He loves to babble. We have some funny moments where he chimes in on our conversation with a timely "Uh oh". He's such a cuddle bug and still loves any attention he gets from his brother.
The boys both did well with the Easter Bunny this year. Joshua keeps telling everyone that he sat on the Easter Bunny's lap and he keeps talking about how the Easter Bunny is gonna bring him sunglasses.

Tyler is 8 months old

Here's our little guy on his 8 month birthday! Where has the me gone? This guy is so much fun! He's not quite mobile yet, but he likes to sit up and hang out watching his brother. He growls a lot, especially if you do it back to him.
After 8 months in the pack and play, Tyler finally got his very own crib! Here's a pic of Josh and Joshua assembling it together. Joshua loves to help around the house!
And here is the King in his crib! He seemed so excited about it. We'll see how the night of sleeping goes!
And this is one of Joshua's favorite spots lately. Cuddled up watching finding Nemo!

Fun times and Joshua turns 2

The boys both love bathy night. Josh typically gives baths to them and they both go in together.
Me and the boys
Sometimes in the morning we put Tyler in Joshua's crib and let them play together for a few minutes. So cute!
We gave Tyler the mesh feeder with watermelon in it for the first time this past week. He loved it! We also tried kiwi, cantaloupe, banana and honeydew.
Here's Joshua going for a ride on Dumbo.
Tyler was hanging out waiting for him.
Today was Joshua's second birthday. It's amazing how these last 2 years have flown by. Joshua is becoming more of a little boy and less of a baby each day. He is talking really well and is smart as a whip! He loves to pretend,,,especially pretending to eat or drink stuff. He is still very strong willed and knows what he wants when he wants it! But he's also so very cuddly and sweet. We are so very lucky to be his parents. This year we decided to surprise him with balloons in his room for his birthday. Here's the set up:
Here he is smiling and excited ♥
Tyler was excited, too!
We had Boo, Nane, Grandma, Grandpa and Grandma Cami over for pizza and cake for him today.
He was excited to blow out the candles!
He also got lots of nice presents!
And here's his 2 year pic!
